
STATUS DEFINITION
Psi Omega Chi Sisterhood Sorority, Inc. maintains clear membership classifications to preserve structure, accountability, and excellence within the sisterhood. Membership status reflects a member’s level of engagement, alignment, and standing within the organization.
ACTIVE MEMBER
An Active Member is a sister who is in good standing and fully engaged in the life of the sorority.
Active members:

Participate consistently in meetings, initiatives, and events

Remain current with financial and administrative obligations
-
Uphold the Code of Conduct, values, and expectations of the sisterhood
-
Maintain respectful communication and accountability
-
Are eligible to vote, hold leadership roles, and represent Psi Omega Chi
MEMBERSHIP REVOKED
Permanently Revoked Membership applies when a sister’s actions are determined to be in direct violation of the values, integrity, safety, or mission of Psi Omega Chi Sisterhood Sorority, Inc.
Permanent revocation:

Results in full termination of membership

Removes all privileges, titles, and affiliation with the organization

Is final and non-reversible

Is enacted to protect the integrity, unity, and safety of the sisterhood
Psi Omega Chi Sisterhood Sorority is built on honor, accountability, and covenant. Membership status classifications exist to uphold the health, order, and longevity of the sisterhood.
NON-ACTIVE MEMBERS
A Non-Active Member is a sister who remains affiliated with Psi Omega Chi but is not currently participating at an active level. Non-active status may be temporary and granted due to life transitions, health, personal matters, or approved leave.
Non-active members:

Are not required to participate in active initiatives or leadership roles

Do not hold voting privileges during non-active status

May return to active status upon meeting reinstatement requirements

Must remain in good standing and respectful alignment with the sisterhood
PROSPECT MEMBERS
Psi Omega Chi Sisterhood Sorority, Inc. welcomes women who are prayerfully exploring membership and discerning alignment with our vision, values, and sisterhood culture. Prospective membership is an intentional season of learning, observation, and connection — not a commitment, but a pathway to clarity.
WHO IS A PROSPECTIVE MEMBER
A Prospective Member is a woman who:

Has expressed interest in Psi Omega Chi Sisterhood Sorority

Is learning about the mission, structure, and expectations of the sisterhood

Is discerning personal alignment and readiness for covenant sisterhood

Has not yet been accepted into official membership
Prospective members are encouraged to approach this season with honesty, openness, and respect for the process.
SUSPENDED MEMBER
A Suspended Member is a sister whose membership privileges have been temporarily restricted due to violations of policy, conduct concerns, or failure to meet organizational obligations.
Suspension:

Is determined by leadership following review and accountability processes

Results in temporary loss of participation, voting, and leadership privileges

May include corrective steps, restoration requirements, or probationary terms

Allows for reinstatement upon successful completion of outlined requirements
REACTIVATION MEMBERS
Psi Omega Chi Sisterhood Sorority, Inc. offers a reactivation pathway for sisters who were previously non-active or suspended and desire to return to active membership in good standing. Reactivation is not automatic and is granted through a structured review process to ensure alignment, accountability, and readiness.
ELIGIBILITY FOR REACTIVATION
A sister may be eligible for reactivation if she:

Was previously an Active or Non-Active member in good standing

Has completed any required waiting period

Has resolved outstanding obligations (financial, administrative, or conduct-related)

Demonstrates alignment with the vision, mission, and culture of Psi Omega Chi
REACTIVATION PROCESS
The reactivation process may include:

Submission of a Reactivation Request or Application

Review by leadership or designated committee

Completion of required restoration steps or check-ins

Approval and reinstatement to Active or Non-Active status
REACTIVATION EXPECTATIONS
Upon reactivation, the member agrees to:

Uphold all current policies, covenants, and standards

Participate in orientation or refresher training if required

Maintain respectful communication and accountability

Re-engage with the sisterhood in good faith and integrity
Reactivation reflects restoration, not entitlement. Psi Omega Chi Sisterhood Sorority values growth, maturity, and alignment, and reserves the right to approve or deny reactivation requests based on the best interest of the sisterhood.
